Putin’s apology for downed plane not enough for Azerbaijan

VOA Russian talks to regional experts who believe that President Vladimir Putin has unexpectedly found himself in a corner after Russian air defenses appear to have accidentally shot down an Azerbaijan Airlines passenger jet. Azerbaijan will not completely separate from Russia, but Baku’s harsh statements show that Russian influence in the region will decrease rapidly.
