British foreign minister meets with Zelenskyy, announces $68.7M financial package

British Foreign Minister David Lammy met with Ukrainian President Volodimyra Zelenskyy in Kiyiv on Wednesday and announced a new $ 68.7 million financial package for Ukraine while his war with Russia continued.

“Our support for Ukraine remains unbreakable,” Lammy said. “We are determined to put Ukraine in the strongest possible position, both in our fight against Russia and beyond.”

Later on Wednesday, Zelenskyy told reporters that an international torso would be needed if the forces are deployed in Ukraine in the case of a tribute agreement with Russia.

It would be a “main mistake” if US troops are not involved, the president said. “This is not just a matter of numbers. It is about sharing responsibility and ensuring security guarantees.”

Ukraine and Russia exchanged captured soldiers on Wednesday. Each country returned 150 prisoners of war.

Zelenskyy divided the telegram photos of some Ukrainian soldiers, saying, “They are all from different front sectors, but they have one thing in common – they fought for Ukraine.”

The Ukrainian attack of drones caused a fire at a oil warehouse in the Russian region of Krasnodar, the governor of the area said on Wednesday.

The fire, which was later presented, happened in the village of Novominskaya.

Governor of Krasnodara Veniamin Kondratyev said debris from the destroyed drone crashes caused the fire and that there were no injuries.

The Russian Ministry of Defense announced on Wednesday that he had knocked two Ukrainian drones over the Kursk regions and two more unmanned flights over Belgorod, and both were bordered with Ukraine.

Officials in Kurska reported the damage to the building, but without victims.

The Ukrainian army announced on Wednesday that he had knocked 57 of the 104 drones that launched the Russian forces in night.

The intersections took place over cherkasy, cherneiv, harkiv, khmelnytskyi, kirovohrad, Kiyiv, Poltava, Sumy and Zhytomyr.

Governor of Hartie Oleh Syniehubov said the attacks had damaged several buildings and injured one person.

Officials also reported the damage to buildings in Harkiv, Khmelnytskyi, Kirovohrad and Sumy.
